Second Day Zambia : Monday 20.07.09
I woke up 6.30 in the morning had a cold shower .. it was really cold i believe I was almost freezing .. later, Tryson dropped by me picked me up to work we discussed few things and then we had to go to Chawama one of the biggest slums (compounds) in Lusaka. the people there are really poor but i believe they are lucky enough having brick built houses. The federation with help of local communities over there is building new house model and new bathrooms we met a youth team from other slums in Lusaka. They spent 3 weeks together learning how to manufacture Interlocks bricks. Then we had to go back to the office had a meeting there till 5 !
today It was my first time experiencing public transport in Lusaka it's not really public they are this 14 passengers micro buses privately owned but that's the only way you can move around Lusaka.
I think I like Zambia. sometimes I just close my eyes and think ! oh really finally I'm in this part of the world I've been dreaming of visiting for the past few years !!
It's very cold here in my room and there's no heating I think I will be using 2 blankets today unfortunately I only brought one from Graz so I'll be using one of the housing blankets. I sprayed it with almost half of my disinfectant bottle I think I will be using additional bottle I hope they sell any here !
I still don't have a phone or Internet Connection but it just feels awesome being offline for a while !
